Intensive Moscow's Attacks Eliminate Electricity Throughout Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure under attack in the region
The country's power facilities have come under increased strikes in the past few days

During the night, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have led to power cuts in large parts of the capital city, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were wounded while local people in eastern neighborhoods were plunged into darkness and faced disruption to water supplies, per reports from municipal leaders.

Simultaneously, a minor was killed in a distinct aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southern area, as reported by area administrators.

Moscow has intensified strikes on electrical systems over recent weeks, while Ukrainian leadership has called for "substantial measures" from allies to apply pressure on Russia.

"What's needed is not superficial actions but decisive action - from the United States, the EU and the major economies - in providing protection systems and implementing sanctions," was stated in a online statement.

Authorities reported that 450 drones and several dozen missiles targeted the country's power systems, describing such assaults as "premeditated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as temperatures become colder.

Government representatives said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and maintenance teams were striving to restore power.

A barrage of missiles struck electrical systems and residential structures in the capital.

Multiple people wounded in the strikes on the city have been hospitalized, per statements from municipal representatives.

Area administrators said the metropolitan region endured heavy assaults throughout the evening. A young boy died and multiple civilians were wounded.

The assaults succeed evenings of aerial attacks in the region, parts of which remain under the control of Moscow's military.

All of Ukraine is in a state of readiness for advanced weapon attacks, which are more difficult to detect.

Government officials told the media that Russia was purposely seeking to destroy the country's energy grid, with assaults already affecting fuel infrastructure.

Authorities confirmed energy workers and officials were anticipating additional strikes.
